The Mirror Talks Back

The Mirror Talks Back chronicles my mental health journey with a late autism diagnosis and explores the thought that each and every one of us is a universe unto itself. Each of us is filled and built up from completely unique sets of genes, circumstances, joys, traumas, interests, and on and on and on. Each of us experiences the world a different way, see in different colors. And even putting diagnoses and mental health aside, the scope of our varying individual identity is dizzying in its complexity and nuance, a sharp juxtaposition to the categorical boxes in which we attempt to organize ourselves. But truly, without those boxes, those identifiers, where on earth would we begin?
