Each of these mini sculptures are metaphors for conditions which I personally struggle with. The mushrooms each tell their own story. The colorful central mushroom is a Fly Agaric, a poisonous mushroom which can cause sleepiness and hallucinations. Agoraphobia, the fear of leaving one’s house, is an isolating issue which can eventually lead to breaks with reality and despondency. The little figure is seen sitting upon its mushroom separated from the rest of the mind.
