This series is based on the beautiful song “Promise is a Pendulum” by Big Thief. I fell in love with the beautiful lyrics which explored failed relationships, longing, and building back the pieces. I encourage you to follow the link provided to listen to it in its entirety.

With this lyric the author is reiterating their inability to control or build the most important things any more than building a face. Again looping our connection to nature and thriving life. The stones at the bottom of the woods are relating to building blocks of the face, and the worlds we hold within us.
